Ribe, Denmark’s oldest town, is nearby, with its cathedral, cobblestone streets, and tales of the town crier. The Ribe Viking Centre's open from May through October. The Wadden Sea Centre offers guided tours to see seals, migratory birds and oysters. The islands of Mandø, Rømø and Fanø, as well as bike routes along the dyke, are also options you can explore.
