This villa is situated high above Tisvildeleje and features original windows from 1917 that let in light all year round. The spacious ground floor offers several cozy nooks, including a new wall-mounted Morsø wood-burning stove by the dining table.
The ground floor has a completely open floor plan with only one interior door—to the bathroom, which served as the home’s entryway until the 1960s. The open kitchen connects to the dining room, and the sofa in the TV room is the perfect spot for a nap or a good movie on a rainy day.
The garden is situated in peaceful surroundings with woods and the beach just around the corner. The annex provides extra space when the whole family gets together.
You are just 300 meters from Tisvilde Hegn—a vast forest bordering the Kattegat and the dunes—and Tisvildeleje Beach with its lovely sand and inviting swimming water. "Udsigten" is 400 meters from the house, a high vantage point overlooking the old fishing village. Tisvilde Bio is 700 meters away, and the tennis club is a 2-kilometer bike ride away.

My name is Jens, and I’ve owned our lovely, nearly original house since 1998. I’m only the third owner since 1917, when two young ladies had the house built by one of their brothers, who was an architect. I’ve been coming to Tisvildeleje my whole life.
We’re two generations who love to restore and renovate, and we’re currently in the process of renovating the entire house one room at a time. We’re trying to create the feel of a classic seaside hotel—of which, incidentally, there are two in town. One is just 100 meters away. When we’re not painting, we relax in the garden, cook, read, or take a long walk on the beach or in the woods. The house has been our second home since 1998. On the ground floor, we’ve just renovated the floors, so they’re light and beautiful, as you can see in some of the photos. We’ve also installed a brand-new wood-burning stove. Much of the furniture in the house is original, which creates the atmosphere we love so much about this place.
We’ve been renting out the house for many years, but not on this platform. We’re therefore very excited to welcome guests from Landfolk and hear about their experience here.
We’ll be updating with new photos as we finish each room, but please feel free to ask if there’s anything you’d like to know. Grab a paddleboard, a crab fishing rod, or just your beach bag and head down to the beach. It’s about 300 meters away, and there’s a pleasant path down to the water (the Kattegat) with a view of the water most of the way. We also spend a lot of time in town, which is a classic Danish summer town that’s also lovely to visit in other seasons. We also go to the old, cozy movie theater, and for the little ones, the circus often comes to town in the summer. Please feel free to ask if you’re not familiar with the town or the region at all.
