Here you can bake cake - perhaps with apples from the apple orchard behind the house - and enjoy all sorts of creative pursuits at the wooden table.

Bright glass doors lead from the kitchen into the large living room that invites you to lounge in front of the fireplace. TV is deliberately left out so you can really enjoy your time together - and perhaps challenge the family peace with a board game or a game of table tennis. When you get tired, you can spread out in the four spacious bedrooms with two double beds, a double sofa bed and a double bunk bed - a sure hit with the kids.

Outside, the cottage is surrounded by green vegetation and you can enjoy both the front and back gardens. Warm up around the fire pit, feel the sun kiss on the lovely terraces and follow the little secret path to the coast, where water and rocks meet and the sea air bites your cheeks.

Hi. We are Peter and Julie. Our names are Peter and Julie and we have three children, Asger aged 13, Nora aged 11 and Magne aged 5. We are a family that is very close to Bornholm and come over here often as Julie grew up in Svaneke, and her whole family lives on the island. About 4 years ago we bought the summer house 'Dalen' and we have put a lot of time and love into the house. We simply love being here and spending time together as a family - preferably in the kitchen, where we bake cakes, paint on stones and make beads with the kids.

We have decorated our family summer house home with family heirlooms and collectibles from vacations and good times. We're particularly fond of the old Bornholm pottery in the kitchen, the big old chatol in the living room and the old yellow armchair in the bedroom, which originates from Bornholm's furniture factory, where Julie's grandfather, Leif, worked as a cabinetmaker.

When we're at the cottage, we take many lovely walks around the cottage, down the coastal path to Sandkås and on towards Tejn. Or the other way towards Allinge and Næs Strand. There are also good walks along the coast towards Sandvig and to Hammerhus and Hammerodde lighthouse. We sometimes visit Hammershus with the kids because they think it's fun to pretend we live in a castle. A trip to Slotslyngen, Blåskinsdalen or Vang Granitbrud is also great.
