We are Lorraine and Mark, and The Dragonfly has been part of our lives for almost 18 years.
When we first came here, we didn’t just see a property—we saw what it could become. Since then, we have shaped it slowly and personally, one building, one garden, one pathway, and one idea at a time.
Much of what you see today has grown from our own imagination and hands. We have always tried to work with the character of the land rather than change it, allowing the old trees, natural landscape, and Andalusian countryside to remain at the heart of the place.
Over the years, The Dragonfly has continued to evolve. Gardens have grown, new spaces have appeared, and quiet corners have found their purpose. Some are made for gathering around a table, others for music and celebration, and others simply for finding a little peace.
It has never felt like a project that was simply “finished.” The Dragonfly has grown alongside us, shaped by the people who have visited, the experiences we’ve shared, and the ideas that continue to come to us.
For us, it isn’t simply a vacation home or a retreat. It’s a little piece of our lives that we now have the pleasure of sharing with others—and we’re still creating it.
