Elevated house with tremendous view near Horsens

My wife and I have spent two years creating our dream home, a four-bedroom house with a large living room and kitchen, where we have thought through every detail. We built it as a year-round residence with great care, so it is perfect for enjoying the quiet moments in life. We are not used to sharing our green "pearl," but we want you to experience the peace and beauty that our corner of paradise has to offer when we are not there. We hope that you will take care of it as if it were your own and create memories that will warm you as much as the glow of the wood-burning stove in winter.

The house and its surroundings are not suitable for parties and celebrations, but rather for relaxation, tranquility, and those who appreciate beautiful surroundings.

We enjoy long walks in the surrounding forests, and if you feel up to it, you can walk all the way from our house to Horsens—a 24 km route through beautiful, varied forests and along the water. You can walk or cycle the "Fjordminoen": Put on your walking shoes and explore everything from towns to islands, forests, fields, meadows, beaches, harbors, and villages on this 59 km long tour.

If you wish, you can take a short trip to Morten Korch's place of inspiration, Alrø, which is only 4 km across the dam. Here you can enjoy Denmark's largest tartlets, weighing 500 g, at Café Alrø, or eat bison burgers at Alrø Købmandsgård, or the chef's food at Restaurant Møllegården. It is also possible to take the bike ferry to Snaptun and Hjarnø. Or take your paddleboard about 1.5 km down to the dam towards Alrø, and much more, which you will find an overview of when you book.

But what we enjoy most is sitting on one of our terraces and enjoying the silence, the birds and wildlife, as well as looking down over the trees and enjoying the view of Horsens Fjord, which – for us – is balm for the soul.
