Your retreat on the southern slope of the Osser combines two separate apartments under one roof—perfect for families or couples who're friends, holidaying together while still appreciating their own private space. Fresh mountain air and unspoiled nature's right outside your door; inside, you'll find peaceful tranquillity in rooms furnished with elm, leather, and linen.
Both apartments feature fully equipped kitchens and spacious living-dining areas with rustic farmhouse tables. On the ground floor, the wood-burning stove provides cosy warmth, while from the upper floor you can enjoy distant views all the way to the Arber. Natural wood finishes and high-quality mattresses guarantee a restful night’s sleep.
The partially covered terrace on the ground floor and the balcony on the upper floor invite you to relax. The spacious garden, with its old fruit trees and a majestic walnut tree, offers plenty of space to play and linger. We'll provide yoga mats and cots upon request.
Explore the wilderness of the Bavarian National Park or visit the Lohberg Bavarian Forest Animal Park with the kids. Hike along cross-border trails to Bohemia, go on mountain bike tours to the eight-thousanders, or go skiing in the nearby Arber region. In summer, the outdoor and indoor pools in Lam beckon; in winter, a perfectly groomed cross-country ski trail is just a few minutes away.
Tourism Fee not included
A Tourism Fee is a mandatory fee that you have to pay when visiting certain tourism areas in Germany. The fee is not included in the price because it depends on where you stay, how many nights you stay, how old you are and if you're bringing your dog. The fee usually varies between €0 and €4 per adult per night, but may be 5% in certain areas, such as Berlin. It should be settled with the host upon arrival.

My name's Johanna, and I grew up here in the Bavarian Forest. Together with my husband Reinald, a master carpenter and interior designer, we've renovated this little cottage near the Osser as a family project. The beauty of the unassuming is what makes our retreat so special.
