Welcome to this Ål cabin in Geilo! The design of Ål-hytten has won awards for its distinctive design and is on the list to be protected by UNESCO. Here you'll experience a mix of modern and timeless expression, as well as a fantastic location close to alpine and ski slopes.
Inside the cabin, the high ceilings in the living room and kitchen contrast with the cozy loft above the rest of the cabin. The furniture is designed together with the cabin, making for a very practical layout, even in small spaces.
Outside the cabin, a large veranda awaits, perfect for pleasant evenings with a good glass of beer or wine. Here you can enjoy nature and fresh mountain air. In addition, there is a practical storage room and a separate sleeping cabin in the yard.
Geilo and the surrounding area offer a wealth of activities. In winter, you can enjoy skiing - either downhill or cross-country - with 20 ski lifts and 46 ski slopes. Visit Vestlia Resort for a swim, a glass of wine or to admire the extensive art collection. In summer, there are plenty of activities for children. We recommend a trip to Prestholtseter, with rømmegrøt and real goat's cheese, or a hike up Hallingskarvet.

Our names are Ann-Beate and Knut, and we have a strong relationship with Geilo and our Ål cabin. We wanted a modern cabin that also preserved old Norwegian building traditions. Our favorite place in the cabin is the 'lagoon', a large square sofa with windows and views on three sides. The cabin has a large veranda with a fire pit and gas grill - here you can enjoy lazy evenings with a good glass of beer or wine. We know you'll have a great time at Rabbestein!

You are free to cancel bookings within 48 hours after receiving a booking confirmation or until 30 days before the agreed time of arrival for a full refund. Until 14 days before the agreed time of arrival, you can cancel for a 50% refund. If you cancel less than 14 days before the agreed time of arrival you will not be refunded.
