The stone mill and the small Rio Secco stream that flows beside it create an atmosphere that's both tranquil and restless. Here and there, curious objects are carefully placed to create secluded corners. The pool—more like a small pond with crystal-clear, salty water and a stone-chip floor—offers unique moments of refreshment.
This apartment's on the ground floor and it's cool and quiet. Rosemary, lavender and sage grow right outside the windows. It's got two double bedrooms with an en suite bathroom and a living room with a small kitchen. We've renovated the rooms using green building materials. A constructed wetland system protects the stream.
The apartment features a private outdoor area with garden furniture, while the pool's shared with the other apartment. The pool's equipped with an air-jet massage system.
The sunny garden's flanked by an orchard tended for generations, featuring cherry, apricot, pear, pomegranate, olive and walnut trees. Upstream lies a dense, wild riparian forest. You can explore these areas by following the trails that start right from the accommodation, accessible on foot or by e-bike.
The trails lead to the medieval villages of Mombaroccio and Cartoceto and to the 14th-century sanctuary of the Blessed Sante. Nearby, you’ll find restaurants, fine wine cellars, and shops selling local products such as honey, dairy products, and cured meats. You can choose to immerse yourself in the history, nature, and flavours of these hills.

I've ended up here pursuing a dream I share with my family. I live in an old mill, a treasure trove of stories dating back a thousand years, with a forest along the stream and flowers—so many flowers. Nothing else. Just peace and quiet.
