Over fields, sea and forest

We are a family of five who lead busy lives—which is why we’ve created a sanctuary where we can slow down and truly be present with one another. Here you’ll find a peaceful, scenic vacation home free from the distractions of TV and the internet—a place where we spend our time together instead.

The house is designed with a focus on coziness, quality, and a relaxed atmosphere. The kitchen is well-equipped with proper appliances and tableware, and the covered terrace has quickly become a favorite spot where you can enjoy the view of the sea from morning to night.

As part of our commitment to caring for both the house and its surroundings, the vacation home has recently undergone a climate renovation. The floors have been better insulated, the facade has been retrofitted with Kingspan insulation, and the house is clad in wood from Scanwood, which operates according to Cradle to Cradle principles. The kitchen is “new,” but bought secondhand—because we believe in reuse and want to minimize consumption without compromising on aesthetics and functionality.

Here, there’s room for long conversations, board games at the dining table, and quiet moments with a view of nature.

In just a few minutes, you can walk from the house to the water’s edge and feel the sand beneath your feet. The area invites you to take beautiful walks along the water toward Bogense—and back through the forest.

Funen has something truly special to offer. In the summer, you’ll find small roadside stands with fresh berries, fruit, and vegetables, charming galleries, pottery workshops, and flea markets along the roads. And the beautiful rose fields around Bogense are an experience in themselves.
