Our names are Morten and Cecilie, we are both in our 30s and together we have three children aged 7, 4 and 1 year. We live in Nørrebro in Copenhagen. We enjoy having our everyday life in the city. But we spend as much of our free time as possible in our summer house. We took over the cottage in 2018 from an older couple who had built and decorated the house back in the 70s.
We have continuously added our own touch to the house, replaced furniture and painted the kitchen, but otherwise everything is original.
The summer house is our favorite place and we are always full of energy when we return home to Nørrebro. We have a whole list of things we often do when we're at the cottage. Among other things, we enjoy going to the beach, going for a walk in Ullerup forest, eating waffles with soft ice cream at Vaffelhjørnet in Hundested and visiting Tothaven Visitor Farm, which has a cozy café with homemade pastries and good coffee, and the kids can pet rabbits and much more. We also often go to Hundested harbor and the fishmonger, which always has warm fish cakes and fresh prawns, and to Lynæs to watch the kite surfers, where there are also plenty of opportunities to try water sports at Lynæs Surfcenter.
