We are a family of two adults and three children aged 8, 6, and 2. We live in Nørrebro in Copenhagen. We spend a lot of our free time at our summer house. We took over the summer house in 2018 from an elderly couple who had built and furnished the house back in the 1970s – it was in incredible condition when we took it over.
We have gradually added our own touch to the house, but overall it looks much the same as when it was built.
The area is quiet with high skies and green fields with horses and cows. The beach is just a short walk away along a footpath at the end of the property. We love eating waffles with soft ice cream at Vaffelhjørnet in Hundested and visiting Tothaven visitor farm, which has a cozy café with homemade cakes and good coffee, while the children can pet rabbits and much more. Hundested harbor and Lynæs can be reached by bike. In Lynæs, you can watch kite surfers, and there are also plenty of opportunities to try water sports yourself or eat delicious burgers at Lynæs Surfcenter. The area is also excellent if you enjoy running.
