Former tobacco farm turned luxury villa in Salento

This villa, located in the heart of a nature reserve in Salento, was formerly used for harvesting and processing tobacco. Today, it has been transformed into a peaceful oasis where luxury is measured in tranquility, time, and an authentic experience of Apulian culture, in a setting that has remained unspoiled.

Inside the villa, local materials, natural textures, and refined details bear witness to a meticulous renovation that has preserved the building’s original structure and character. The interior design, which is both simple and sophisticated, reflects a Mediterranean-inspired philosophy of life, clearly expressed through the choice of materials.

Externally, the villa highlights the surrounding landscape. The architecture is the work of Filippo Chiesa Ricotti and the Milan-based architectural firm Gruppo Tre, who have transformed an old factory into a place where one can discover what the source calls “the luxury of time and silence.”

The villa is located near Cutrofiano, in southern Apulia. The area is characterized by the culture and nature of Salento and serves as an ideal starting point for exploring a region rich in agricultural history, local traditions, and Apulia’s expansive landscapes.
