You’ll be staying in a historic East Frisian Gulfhof that has been lovingly restored. The property is designed like a spacious semi-detached home with a shared entrance and houses two separate living units. The apartment on the right features a bright, open-concept kitchen-living area, while the apartment on the left feels especially cozy thanks to its separate rooms and its own sauna.
Both apartments offer modern comforts across two floors. The ground floor of each features a fully equipped kitchen, the living room, and a guest restroom, while the bedrooms and bathroom are located on the upper floor. A wood-burning stove provides cozy warmth in both units, and we’re happy to provide you with the necessary firewood for cozy evenings within these historic walls.
Outside, a park-like garden with mature trees awaits you in a completely secluded location. A historic moat surrounds the entire property and underscores the special atmosphere of this former Johanniter monastery. From the kitchen, you have a direct view of the dike and Germany’s tallest lighthouse, while the Wadden Sea is just a few minutes’ walk away.
The surrounding area invites you to explore, from the picturesque fishing village of Greetsiel to the imposing Campen Lighthouse. Whether on long walks along the dike or over a cup of East Frisian tea at the nearby Agricultural Museum, here cozy comfort blends with the vastness of nature. Enjoy the peace and quiet and the fresh North Sea breeze at this special retreat.
Tourism Fee not included
A Tourism Fee is a mandatory fee that you have to pay when visiting certain tourism areas in Germany. The fee is not included in the price because it depends on where you stay, how many nights you stay, how old you are and if you're bringing your dog. The fee usually varies between €0 and €4 per adult per night, but may be 5% in certain areas, such as Berlin. It should be settled with the host upon arrival.
