I built the cabin 20 years ago with materials from my own forest, I made everything myself, including most of the furniture, except for the kitchen and sofas. My kids have almost grown up in the mountains and have learned to love skiing and enjoy mountain hiking in the summer. The cabin is located in a magnificent high mountain area with short and long hikes nearby, summer and winter. This is an area that is particularly suitable for those who are more enthusiastic about nature experiences than parties and après-ski.
Just outside the cabin you'll find a large network of cross-country skiing trails, and the nearest alpine skiing and snowboarding resort is just five minutes away by car. If you drive just a little further, you'll find plenty of exciting and steep summit hikes. In summer, there are a handful of short hikes that offer absolutely stunning views. But what I appreciate most is just being at the cabin and forgetting about the hustle and bustle of everyday life, cooking together in the big kitchen, eating around the long table and just relaxing afterwards.
