Charming cottage with lake view in Småland

This cottage is perched on a cliff in the woods outside Väckelsång, north of Tingsryd. From the patio, you have a view of the lake, and just around the corner, horses graze while deer and butterflies share the space with you. The cottage sleeps up to four people and is designed for a simpler, more peaceful way of life.

The cottage has been carefully renovated to retain a traditional feel and features a smart floor plan. The main cottage includes a well-equipped kitchen, a wood-burning stove, a TV, speakers, books, and games—as well as a large dining table where you can gather for long dinners. The guest cottage next door has a double bed and a large window overlooking the natural surroundings. A shower and toilet are on-site.

The lake is about 80 meters from the cottage. Two SUP boards and a kayak are available to borrow. The lake bottom is rocky and the water is naturally murky, so for swimming, we recommend the lovely swimming spots at Åsnen, just a short drive away. Two bicycles are also available for you to borrow.

The Åsnen Runt bike trail passes nearby; it’s about 140 km long and runs largely along old railroad embankments and car-free roads. Jäta’s southern swimming spot on Lake Åsnen is about a 15-minute drive away. Korrö and Herrgård de luxe are worth a visit, as are the apple orchards and cider mills in the area. Åsnen National Park is about a 20-minute drive away.
