Cabin with mountain hikes and fire pit

We completed this cabin in the autumn of 2024, and it offers direct access to nature and walking opportunities. You'll get to experience the tranquillity and starry skies that are characteristic of the mountains, and the interior design is typical of an Ål cabin, with several areas for relaxation—both for those who want some time alone and those who want to gather with others.

The interior design is well-thought-out, with several distinct areas that provide space for board games, cosy fireside moments and relaxation. We've set everything up so you can find your own rhythm during your stay, whether you gather around the fireplace or retreat to some quiet time. Outside the cabin, a fire pit awaits, perfect for barbecues and pleasant evenings. Just 500 metres away, you’ll find a pond suitable for swimming, and nature’s right outside your door. In winter, the road isn’t ploughed all the way to the cabin, but there’s a car park with charging points 500 metres away. It’s an easy walk from the car park to the cabin.

The nearest mountain hikes are Formokampen at 1,407 metres above sea level, Karihaugen at 1,277 metres, and Anaripigg at 1,211 metres. The Peer Gynt Cabin is a hiking destination about 8 km away. You can also go fishing at Hårrtjønn, which is about 3 km from the cabin.
