Villa with private access to Lake Como

This is a 1920s residence overlooking Lake Como, built by architect Joseph Primi, who also worked on the renovation of Milan’s Teatro alla Scala. The villa is named after the woman Primi loved throughout his life, and every room still bears the marks of that original care.

The interiors feature original wood paneling, hand-painted plates, vintage photographs, and stained-glass windows that are echoed in the doors and ceilings. The lake-green walls evoke the deep waters of Lake Como, the mountains, and the light that shifts throughout the day, bringing the landscape inside the home.

The aesthetic echoes that of a houseboat: teak, fine wood, and stone create the sensation of being aboard a vessel suspended between sky and water. In the garden, you’ll find canoes and kayaks for exploring the lake, lounge chairs for sunbathing, and a table with an Extremis-designed sail for al fresco dining.
