Our names are Mari and Rene, and we both work as architects. We took over our holiday home, Fjordnær, in 2021 and have since completely renovated the former three-length farm. The middle building has now been demolished and we have instead created two separate houses, connected by a beautiful sunny terrace.
Our ambition with the summer house has been to create a luxurious place with a focus on nature and biodiversity, and for us it has become a sanctuary where our shoulders are lowered and we get completely down to business.
Together with our two girls, we love to experience the amazing nature around the cottage. We enjoy the view of Ringkøbing Fjord, go for long walks in Skjern Enge, watch the migratory birds in Tipperne and swim and surf by Ringkøbing Fjord.
It's also always a pleasure to take home gastronomic experiences at Henne Kirkeby Kro, Restaurant Stauning Havn or Stauning Whiskey. We enjoy being hosts and look forward to letting others experience the beautiful nature and tranquility that the cottage and the area offers.
