Surrounded by fields and forest, you'll find a newly renovated longhouse that fuses old country idyll with new, delicious details. The cottage is a disused farmhouse with thatched roof and mullioned windows, which originally consisted of three wings. The interior design is a mix of Gustavian and seaside hotel style, creating a cool blend of timeless charm and what we Danes associate with a true summer house atmosphere.

There's a large, functional kitchen and a spacious dining room with plenty of room for the whole family, as well as nine beds and two bathrooms, both with showers. Outside, you'll find a large patio with a hot tub, a cozy fire pit to gather around after dark, and a barbecue, which together create the perfect setting for true Danish cottage life. If you prefer privacy, you can also book the entire farm. Otherwise, you may have the opportunity to say hello to the other guests staying in the annex from time to time. Furthermore, the sweet family provides bedding and other similar services, as well as catering if desired, so you don't have to spend time on practical tasks and can just relax as soon as you arrive.

Near the house is Rideruten Thy, which is a marked riding route through beautiful National Park Thy. If you don't bring horses, don't worry, as the area offers beautiful nature and wildlife galore, as well as Bulbjerg, Denmark's only bird mountain. So put on your good walking shoes and set off on an adventure in beautiful surroundings. You can also take your bike and head down to the beautiful beach. Here you can take a cool dip, watch the sunset and enjoy the sound of the sea. On your way home, you can stop by the local fishmonger to buy fresh fish for dinner and pick flowers from the roadside to decorate the interior. Not far from the cottage you'll also find cozy Blokhus with its iconic bathhouses on the beach, Klitmøller and the world-famous Thy National Park.

If you want to use the cottage's hot tub, the rent is DKK 800, - This is free use, where firewood, water and cleaning are included in the price. If you have booked a week in the cottage, the hot tub will be included in the price of your stay.

My name is Jael, and together with my husband Mike, we own this holiday home in beautiful Frøstrup on the west coast of North Jutland. We enjoy the tranquility and wildlife of the area, and we love hiking in the beautiful nature with its many trails.

Not far from the cottage is Denmark's only bird mountain, Bulbjerg, which is also a very special experience. We also often cycle down to the beach to swim, after which we typically buy fresh fish from Bjarne, which we later grill at home on the terrace.
