The minimalist vacation home on stilts floats lightly above the terrain and blends in with the mountain landscape. Large windows frame the view of the peaks, while you relax on wide window sills and soak up the sun from morning to night.
The house has three bedrooms. One larger bedroom with a double bed and two smaller rooms of the same design with a sleeping loft. The loft is accessible via a narrow staircase. At night, you can gaze at the starry sky through the skylight above the bed. The open-plan living area connects the kitchen and dining area, creating space for shared moments. Warm wood and clean lines characterize the interior.
Please note that the living room on the first floor has large windows with fall protection. As there are benches directly in front of the windows, special attention should be paid to small children. In addition, the sockets do not have child safety locks. In the small bedrooms, the beds are accessed via a narrow, relatively steep ladder with a handrail.
In the garden, you will find shady spots under the house where hammocks invite you to linger. On hot days, you can enjoy the cool breeze under the stilts and cool off in the outdoor shower in summer.
Start hikes to the Oberauerbrunstalm or Piesenhauser Hochalm directly from the house. Lake Wössner and Lake Taubensee are close by and perfect for swimming. Discover the Klobenstein in the Entenlochklamm gorge or enjoy a coffee in one of the local cafés in front of a beautiful Alpine panorama.
Tourism Fee not included
A Tourism Fee is a mandatory fee that you have to pay when visiting certain tourism areas in Germany. The fee is not included in the price because it depends on where you stay, how many nights you stay, how old you are and if you're bringing your dog. The fee usually varies between €0 and €4 per adult per night, but may be 5% in certain areas, such as Berlin. It should be settled with the host upon arrival.

Host since March 2026
- Start hikes to the Oberauerbrunstalm and Piesenhauser Hochalm directly from the house.
- Relax in hammocks beneath the stilts and enjoy the cool mountain breeze.
- Swim in nearby Lake Wössner, hike up to the mountain lake Taubensee, or enjoy Lake Chiemsee, which is easily accessible.
For us as a family, the stilt house is a conscious alternative to city life. We wanted to create a retreat where we could get together with friends and head straight into the mountains. The stilt house has a minimalist, warm design and is reduced to the essentials.
