Protected gem by Glænø's verdant woods

Glænø is located in the Småland waters southwest of Zealand. A scenic and protected gem of an island, where you will find this charming, old thatched half-timbered house. It is located in the middle of the island with a view of fields, a few sheep and blue skies. Here you can get the feeling of having it all to yourself, far away from the noise, shops and hustle and bustle of the city.

The cottage dates from 1780 and is full of details: Here are sloping walls, lots of coziness under the low ceilings and small nooks, crooked angles and a beautiful ladder staircase that leads through the door frame up to the bedroom under the roof. All of this bears witness to the long history of the house and provides an atmospheric setting for your time on the island.

On Glænø you can go for good walks that will give you fresh red cheeks, in the bird sanctuary, on the clove, over the hills and in the large, expansive meadows. On the south coast of the island there are good bathing beaches, where dramatic cliffs fall beautifully down to the blue water. Here you can often be lucky enough to have it almost to yourselves.
