We - Carsten and Ellen - are both architects and live on Zealand. Our beautiful holiday home at Skødshoved has for many years been our sanctuary for four generations. Here we enjoy lots of family fun with games in the garden, swimming on the lovely, child-friendly beach, sailing trips and wonderful walks around the point at the tip of Skødshoved.
We have continuously renovated the cottage with, in our eyes, great respect for the soul of the house - simple and relaxed. Among other things, we have extended the house and created access to the garden from the bedrooms and kitchen, opening up the house and providing plenty of daylight to the rooms.
For us, the garden and terrace have always been the central focal point of our vacations in the cottage and the garden appears more wild than cultivated - except where there is room for activities.
