Cozy thatched house surrounded by nature in Thy

This beautiful thatched cottage sits undisturbed on a landscaped meadow, surrounded by dune landscapes and trees as its closest neighbors. Despite having neighbors on both sides, the house feels like a peaceful oasis. The cottage has recently been renovated and is now clad in black wood shingles and features a traditional thatched roof. The house was even a finalist in the TV show “Denmark’s Most Beautiful Cottage”—a testament to its unique charm.

Inside, the house has been completely remodeled with care for the cottage’s authentic identity. All walls and doors are clad in warm Douglas fir, giving the rooms a natural glow, warm colors, and a genuine Scandinavian feel. In the cozy living room, you’ll find a fireplace beneath a beautifully arched ceiling, and there’s an open connection to the bright and inviting kitchen. The living room is equipped with wireless internet, and you can connect your computer to the TV, use our Apple TV, or CD player to enjoy a cozy evening with a good movie. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare a delicious dinner, which can be enjoyed at the elegant dining table.

From all rooms on the ground floor, there is direct access to terraces of varying sizes, surrounded by sheltered, planted stone walls. On the ground floor, you’ll find two bedrooms with a total of three sleeping spots. On the first floor, there is a cozy alcove under the eaves with another sleeping space for a child. Opposite the alcove is a locked niche used as a private storage room. If you need two double beds, this can be arranged directly with us, after which the private bedroom on the first floor can be opened for you.

Outside, in the middle of the property and beneath the tall birch and oak trees, there is a large fire pit area, bordered by a windbreak and benches. The trees on the property have been pruned to provide you with sweeping views of the landscape, while still allowing you to sit in an intimate and sheltered setting.
