Our names are Erna and Peter, and we live in Aarhus. We have had this summer house for 25 years and are incredibly happy with it. When we got the summer house, we were a family with three small children, who all loved spending weekends and vacations here. We have continuously spruced up the house so that it is both cozy and functional, both inside and out.
It is only 400 meters to the beach and lovely swimming. If the family wants to do more than play in the garden or on the beach, there is the Fuglsøcenter 9 km away, where you can play golf, rent bikes, and enjoy great music. We also love the charming harbor with an ice cream parlor and a good restaurant. We go for lots of walks along the water, and Peter also fishes from the beach (sea trout). We especially enjoy trips to Mols Bjerge, where we find lots of mushrooms in the fall. Half an hour's drive from the cottage is the beautiful town of Ebeltoft, Djurs Sommerland, and the animal parks.
But best of all is the peace and quiet, the light, the high sky, relaxing in the sheltered and sunny corners around the house, and the warm, quiet evenings on the terrace, where we enjoy the view and the sunset.
