Views and ski trails in Silkedalen

The cabin in Silkedalen is ideal for mountain getaways in both summer and winter, offering fantastic views from the cabin in both seasons and an electric outdoor hot tub to relax in after a day of hiking.

The cabin received its occupancy permit in 2020 and has since been upgraded, including the addition of the electric outdoor hot tub. It provides a comfortable and modern base for mountain excursions in both seasons.

Silkedalen is a paradise for cross-country skiing in the winter, with groomed trails starting right outside the cabin. Downhill skiing is also easily accessible, with ski-in access directly to the ski lift. In the summer, there are excellent hiking trails, and within a two-hour walk, you can reach several summit hikes at around 1,170 meters above sea level.

At Lake Totak, you’ll find a beautiful swimming beach in the summer. Rauland is a diverse mountain area with plenty to explore for those who want to venture beyond the trails and paths around the cabin.
