A hillside design retreat on the hills near Verona

Nestled in the hills of Mezzane, just a few kilometres from Verona and a little over half an hour from Lake Garda, the owners conceived this single-storey home as a small retreat surrounded by nature. Here you’ll find spaces they’ve designed with meticulous attention to detail: soft lighting, natural materials and cosy corners for relaxation, striking a balance between contemporary style and authentic character.

The owners personally oversaw the design of the home, striving to make every space warm and functional. The ground-floor interiors open directly onto the outdoors, allowing you to experience the home as an extension of the landscape. They've chosen every element—even the most subtle ones—to make guests feel at home.

The garden and outdoor spaces are an integral part of the home. Since they're on the ground floor, the transition between indoors and outdoors is natural and seamless. The owners are continuing to enhance these spaces, adding new areas for relaxation and socialising, while maintaining a simple atmosphere that blends seamlessly into the hilly landscape.

You can explore the Val di Mezzane among vineyards, olive groves and small villages, with wineries where you can stop for a tasting. Verona's nearby, and Castel San Pietro offers one of the owners’ favourite scenic viewpoints. Soave, with its medieval village, is also worth a visit, as is a trip to Valpolicella or Lake Garda.
