Skovsgaard Gods, also known as Natur Destination Skovsgaard, is located on southern Langeland in scenic surroundings. Skovsgaard is today owned by Danmarks Naturfond, which was founded by the Danish Society for Nature Conservation. For this, we owe a big thank you to a very special woman.
Miss Ellen Fuglede was the last and only heir to Naturdestination Skovsgaard. As she had no heirs, it was very important to her that the site could be preserved as a whole. Therefore, she bequeathed the estate and its 389 hectares to the Danish Society for Nature Conservation, which was later taken over by the Danish Nature Foundation. The legacy to the foundation is a gift, but also a task. For the unmarried Miss Fuglede, the nature around Naturdestination Skovsgaard was the most precious thing she owned, and therefore it was very important to her that the property and nature remained in nature-conserving hands.
Today, you can visit Naturdestination Skovsgaard, which is filled with exciting and wild nature experiences for families with children and nature enthusiasts. Here you can also explore the estate's 400 hectares of land, 245 of which are set aside for protected meadows and wild grazing with cattle and wild horses.

The house is part of an old farm complex and has been beautifully renovated inside. It is perfectly situated between hills, forest and sea. The cattle and wild horses regularly pass by the house and it seems as if they sometimes look in through the window. Deer, stags, hares, pheasants and various other wild birds can also be seen every day. If you are looking for peace and seclusion, you will find a natural paradise here.
There are enough beds for 12 people, but it might be a bit cramped, especially as there is only one small but fine bathroom and possibly not enough crockery.
The house is very comfortably furnished and is a joy in any weather. Children can explore the surroundings and discover a lot, only the necessary distance to the animals should be maintained. In the evening you can sit together at the large table, play games and round off the day.
