Take a dip from a 30-meter-long swimming pier

Recommended by Anja and Morten

At Bogen Beach, you’ll find “The Accessible Swimming Pier”,, which is 30 meters long and particularly well-suited for people with limited mobility or wheelchair users. The beach is child-friendly and offers great fishing—especially for sea trout and garfish. You might also be lucky enough to witness royal visits, as both the Royal Yacht Dannebrog and the Training Ship Danmark often stop by the beach during their voyages.

Enjoy unique views at Sletterhage Lighthouse

Recommended by Helle and Frederik

Helle and Frederik have made many visits to the old and magnificent Sletterhage Lighthouse at the tip of Denmark’s “nose,” where you can both enjoy the beautiful view out over the water and explore the tower’s wonderful exhibition. Admission for adults is only 20 kr., while children under 15 get in for free, and you can park in the large parking lot next door.

Quench your thirst with local craft beer

Recommended by Gitte and Carsten

At the family-owned Ebeltoft Gårdbryggeri ), you can treat your taste buds to something delicious and refreshing, as they serve exquisite craft beers for adults and soda for the kids. From the benches set up near the farm, Gitte and Carsten have often enjoyed these cool drinks while taking in the view of the rolling countryside, the water, and down to Jernhatten, which is part of Mols Bjerge National Park. If you’re feeling hungry, during the summer months you can also buy grilled sausages to cook on the grill, which is always lit.

Cultural Experiences for the Whole Family at Maltfabrikken

Recommended by Louise and Rasmus

The new Maltfabrik is one of Louise and Rasmus’s favorite spots in Ebeltoft, as it serves as a creative hub for everything from street food, art, and music to children’s entertainment and much more. The annual calendar is naturally subject to restrictions, but you can still find experiences that appeal to the whole family.

Stroll down to the harbor for the town’s best coffee

Recommended by Marc

Amid oyster bars, wine and deli shops, a glassblowing studio, and much more, you’ll find the town’s best coffee at Apelgren Jordt Coffee on the harbor. The coffee tastes fantastic, and the cozy, beautiful setting is inspired by Rasmus and Johanna’s upbringings in Swaziland and Värmland, Sweden, respectively.

Get up close and personal with exotic wildlife at Ree Park Safari

Recommended by Marc

At Ree Park Safari ), you can enjoy truly unique experiences with exotic and wild animals from all four continents. Among other things, Martin recommends going on a Land Rover safari on the savanna or experiencing the North American prairie from the steam train, the America Express.

Discover Denmark’s diverse birdlife

Recommended by Martin

At the beautiful Stubbe Sø in Mols National Park, you can visit the bird sanctuary and experience the rich birdlife along the hiking trails. There’s a bird hide where three people at a time can hide and, with a bit of luck, get a close-up view of the birds. If you’ve brought a picnic, there are tables and benches nearby where you can enjoy lunch surrounded by nature.
