The cottage can accommodate up to four overnight guests. There is a double bed in one bedroom and two single beds in the other bedroom, which is in the attached extension. The extension is accessed from the terrace.
At the heart of the house is a lovely kitchen with a view of the dining room and the water. Everything practical has been thought of here, so you can spend your vacation doing more than just dishes. In open extension of the kitchen is the cozy living room. The entire cottage is decorated with attention to detail, creating a calmness in the rooms that is relaxing in itself. The calm colors, natural materials and open spaces pamper the eye, and in combination with the incredible views of the garden and water, the shoulders can be lowered.
Outside, you'll find an outdoor fireplace, four fantastic terraces, beach chairs for sunny days and a covered seating area for those days when the weather isn't so kind. There are two kayaks and 2 SUP boards that can be borrowed for those days on the water. The garden can be used at all times and caters for the whole family's need for relaxation and activity.
In slippery winter weather, the steep road to the house can be impassable, so it will be necessary to park the car at the top of the hill and walk the 100 meters or so down to the house.

We are a family of five who bought our new family home at the beginning of 2021. We live north of Vejle and have therefore had the opportunity to completely renovate the cottage. Our family life means a lot to us, and we dream that the house will be a sanctuary for many years to come. We hope that when we are ready to sell our villa and move into an apartment many years from now, we can use it as a 'nature retreat'. It should be a place that creates the framework for family memories together. We love the cottage life and have always enjoyed this type of vacation. Even when we go south, we rent a cottage because we like being together as a family this way. It's nice to have your own, but it's also nice to experience other people's holiday homes, interiors and beautiful places.
The area along Vejle Fjord is very scenic with hilly terrain with forests and meadows. There are plenty of opportunities for long walks, mountain biking and of course water activities such as SUP and kayaking - equipment for which is available in the holiday home. The holiday home is a short distance from LEGOLAND and Givskud Lion Park. The nearest towns are the fortress town of Fredericia with both a water park and Madsby Play Park and the historic town of Vejle. We think both towns offer good shopping opportunities and many cafés and restaurants.

We had an amazing time at Mette and Thomas house. We even did not wanna leave it during our stay as it was so beautiful and relaxing!
Our kids loved it, too! We had nice beach walks, I used their SUP and we played a lot of games in the garden. Perfect getaway for a break from everyday life.
