Between forest and grassy hills in the protected area of Mulbjerge, the holiday home is hidden away. The private road leads up through the landscape, through the hills and up to the house, which has the finest views of nature.
The small cottage is decorated in the finest way with flea market finds, so the right 60s vibe hits you when you step inside the door. The house was originally built in 1955, but was carefully renovated in 2021. The beautiful new kitchen is decorated with inspiration from Karen Blixen's childhood home, Rungstedlund. The kitchen is brand new and has everything you need to make a great meal.
The cottage has room for a couple or a small family. There are two lovely bedrooms with a three-quarter bed in one and two single beds in the other. The cozy armchairs in the living room invite good conversations in front of the wood-burning stove, and at the dining table you can get creative or play games with the whole family. The many windows bring nature all the way inside the cottage and from here you can view the extensive animal and bird life outside. Even the farm's livestock: sheep, lambs and horses come close to the property.
From the cottage you can walk along paths, through forest and grassland down to Dokkedal bathing pier. Here you will find a nice little museum that tells the story of the old fishing community. The cottage has its own beach, but it is not as good as the one by the bathing pier. When walking by the water, you may be lucky enough to see a paraglider fly by or find amber at the water's edge.
Please note that this stay includes a great starter package. The starter package includes a delicious breakfast, where the host has prepared bread and cold cuts for the first few days. In addition, the bed is made up for all of you and the various necessities are taken care of, so you can just sit back and enjoy your stay.

The cottage is uniquely located in Mulbjerge, close to water and overlooking Lille Vildmose
No neighbors here: only nature, forest animals and tranquility
Inside, the interior has been carefully decorated and renovated in authentic 1960s style
Check out the Facebook page Mulbjerghytten - Lille Vildmose cottage Welcome to Mulbjerghytten, the cottage is newly decorated in 1960's style, with Danish design and everyday things. New small kitchen and toilet with shower. And all doors and windows have been replaced and many more added to bring nature inside. We wanted it to feel like a time travel back to 1960. We're happy to make sure the fridge and kitchen are stocked with the right products for time travel. there is a gate with a key to the trail system in Mulbjerge. The path leads down to fishermen's houses, a bathing pier and up to viewpoints. The cabin sleeps 4, in special cases, such as at Summer Jazz in Mulbjerge (walking distance), the newly purchased sofa bed in the living room can be used by two more people.
The cottage is located on the same plot as the nature farm where we live. The protected area, Mulbjerge - Lille Vildmose, with the cottage located in the middle of the hills is absolutely lovely, not far from the Baltic Sea beach, but we don't use it much ourselves. We are small farmers and have a few chickens, vegetables, bees, sheep, workhorses and a lot of work on the side at our jobs in the city.

Decorating the cottage is unique, it's an experience just to walk around and look at beautiful old things. Great to come for coffee and a fire in the stove on a wet December day.
We took a long walk in Lille Vildmose, where we managed to see elves, white-tailed eagles and peregrine falcons. We saw the beautiful Dokkedal church, where the friendly gravedigger let us in.
A hike in Mulbjerge with the views and the North Sea Trail is recommended.
