Our names are Martine and Kalle, and together with our now almost grown-up girls, we've had our summer house in Odsherred for a good twelve years. It was love at first sight, and we have spent every vacation and weekend there. For us, it's a place where we can disconnect, enjoy the peace and quiet and just be together as a family. The house started as a small, nice A-house of 40 square meters, with only a living room and a loft. It was also cozy, but at some point we all needed more space. So we designed a new house ourselves, based on the existing one. We love the natural plot, which is full of bushes and small trees, and the completely enclosed plot with giant trees all around is very atypical for our holiday home area. It's not a plot with lots of grass where you can play ball, but you can find lots of little nooks and crannies.
Besides the cottage, we love spending time at the beach. Sejerøbugten is perfect for swimming, SUP-boarding, enjoying the sunset or just going for a walk. The forest is right next to the beach, so a walk can easily end with a dip in the water. Rørvig harbor with crab catch, fish fillet and fries from Røgeriet is also worth a visit, as well as Lillero luxury camping, cozy coffee places, bars and the good Formula B restaurant in the forest at Høve. The street food market at the top of Asnæs and the many art and ceramics places in Odsherred are a must. And if you want to go a little over the top, swimming at Ordrup Næs is fantastic.
