The beach is child-friendly and offers great fishing—especially for sea trout and garfish. You might also be lucky enough to witness royal visits, as both the Royal Yacht Dannebrog and the Training Ship Danmark often stop by the beach during their voyages.

Enjoy unique views at Sletterhage Lighthouse

Helle and Frederik have made many visits to the old and magnificent Sletterhage Lighthouse at the tip of Denmark’s “nose,” where you can both enjoy the beautiful view out over the water and explore the tower’s wonderful exhibition. Admission for adults is only 20 kr., while children under 15 get in for free, and you can park in the large parking lot next door.

Go on a mountain bike ride in the Mols Mountains

Active families can explore one of Denmark’s most beautiful natural areas, the Mols Mountains, on the 13-kilometer-long mountain bike trail. Gitte and Carsten also recommend taking a bike ride through the breathtaking landscape, and you’re welcome to borrow the pressure washer at the vacation home to clean your bikes when you get back.

At the family-owned Ebeltoft Gårdbryggeri ), you can treat your taste buds to something delicious and refreshing, as they serve exquisite craft beers for adults and soda for the kids. From the benches set up near the farm, Gitte and Carsten have often enjoyed these cool drinks while taking in the view of the rolling countryside, the water, and down to Jernhatten, which is part of Mols Bjerge National Park. If you’re feeling hungry, during the summer months you can also buy grilled sausages to cook on the grill, which is always lit.

Cultural Experiences for the Whole Family at Maltfabrikken

At the beautiful Stubbe Sø in Mols National Park, you can visit the bird sanctuary and experience the rich birdlife along the hiking trails. There’s a bird hide where three people at a time can hide and, with a bit of luck, get a close-up view of the birds. If you’ve brought a picnic, there are tables and benches nearby where you can enjoy lunch surrounded by nature.

Øer Maritime Ferieby—also known as Landal Feriepark —is an architect-designed vacation village with countless activity options for the whole family. Here, you’ll have free access to the swimming and sports hall, a playground with a bouncy castle, tennis courts, and much more.
