We were looking for a Swedish summer cottage surrounded by forests and lakes, right in the heart of nature, and the house lived up to all our expectations! Even without a car, we were able to get there easily by bus from Stockholm (it’s about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop to the house). You can also take the bus to a supermarket every day to do your shopping. You can take many beautiful walks through the woods and meadows starting right from the house, and a ferry takes you from Stavsnäs to the beautiful island of Runmarö for a day trip. The house and the surroundings are beautiful and relaxing—it’s exactly what we’d hoped for! If you enjoy a quiet, beautiful, self-catering getaway, this is the perfect place for you!

An enchantingly peaceful lake house in a wonderful area! This extremely well-maintained and thoughtfully designed house has everything you could want. The sunset over the lake, the sauna with a view of the lake, the spacious, glass-enclosed living area, and the friendly, down-to-earth owners. We’re looking forward to our next visit!

We had a wonderful stay in the beautiful vacation home by the fjord! The house was spotless and equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of space, comfortable beds, good showers, nice decor, beautiful patio furniture, … What makes the house special, in our opinion, is the view you can enjoy from so many spots inside the house and on the property. You don’t need a TV (even if one had been available) because you can watch the sun and wind play over the fjord, see rainbows, and watch the cows grazing there. At night, you can see the beautiful starry sky. The area is absolutely quiet and peaceful. Anna is a wonderful host. She was always available to us, always friendly, and made us feel very welcome. We just felt so at home. A wonderful house in a wonderful location. There were several places to sit outside, and a magnificent view from each of the many large windows. Just the right place to relax to the fullest! Leezen is also a perfect starting point for trips to Lübeck or Hamburg.

A wonderful cabin set in nature, with a private backyard view of mountains, trees, rocks, and shrubs displaying fall foliage when we visited in September. The cabin has private parking with an EV charging station. Floor heating is available in several rooms, including the bathroom. The bathroom has a nice sauna, which we used a few times after long hikes. WiFi is fast (~100 Mbps), and you will find the password printed directly on the router. The kitchen has an electric stove, refrigerator, oven, and a dishwasher, but no microwave. A small grocery store (Joker) is 12 miles away, and the nearby towns (Beitostølen and Vågå) with more stores & restaurants are 27-30 miles away. The cabin follows the Norwegian tradition, and shampoo, soap, bed linen, and towels are NOT included in the asking price. There are no hand towels in the bathroom. You are supposed to bring your own kitchen towels too, but our cabin had a kitchen towel. The nearby Camp Grounds no longer rents out bath towels

We had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful house for a week. Check-in was easy. The open-concept layout with separate bedrooms was very comfortable for us. The fireplace and fire pit created a cozy atmosphere and made for some great evenings. The location is off the beaten path from the usual tourist hotspots, so a car is usually necessary for errands and outings. Keep in mind that the house has only one bathroom—with six people, you really have to get along well. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.
