We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin. Location was stunning, surrounded by beautiful scenery and offering the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy nature. The cabin was clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Communication with the host was excellent throughout including a whole list of recommendations for the local area. Highly recommend this cabin!

We had nothing but a fabulous time at Villa Balsvik. The house is beautiful and plenty of space both inside and out. It made us feel very at home whilst at the same time being thoughtfully styled where you can sense the host’s personal touch. The kitchen had all, and more!, in way of equipment one might need and also BBQs available to use. (Should you not want to cook there is a surprisingly excellent restaurant just a short cycle ride up along the lake!) The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and bathroom, all very good. Can’t think of any issues with house at all! We also travelled with our dog for whom the house, and its very securely fenced park, was akin to a paradise and he made himself very much at home, lording it up. We had morning coffee on one terrace and evening drinks on the other. We could swim from our own jetty and have a drink lakeside, watching the eagles soar, with the sun setting. What’s not to love! In the area there are plenty of wonderful forest walks and I’m sure lots of other things which we didn’t do as we enjoyed the house and just the forest too much. Good food shop is just a short drive away and even Copenhagen airport is only 90mins on a train. You may feel like you’re in middle of nowhere but civilisation is there, should you need it. :-)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is truly beautiful and, to be honest, was one of the main reasons I chose this particular vacation. It definitely didn’t disappoint in person either. The surroundings are stunning and wonderfully peaceful—truly a place to completely unwind. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this holiday home! The location is exceptionally quiet and peaceful, offering plenty of space both inside the house and out in the yard. The house is tastefully decorated with great attention to detail, exceptionally cozy, and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxed vacation. Families will love the huge variety of outdoor play options for children. It is perfectly located as well: just a 5-minute bike ride to the water and a quick 5-minute drive to the nearest supermarket. We would definitely return!

Everything about this house and this place is absolutely amazing! From the moment we pulled onto the property, we went from one pleasant surprise to the next. What a beautiful place and what a spacious home! We loved Bina’s warm and personal welcome—and our daughter loved it even more. She felt like a princess. This positive impression continued with every new spot or room we discovered. The house is beautifully decorated; they’ve truly thought of everything. And everything just feels so right. We completely unwound during our stay and enjoyed every minute. It felt like a privilege to be able to stay here for a while. The surroundings are beautiful, and Bina’s recommendations (that warm welcome again!) ensured that we saw many wonderful sights in the area. We’d been to this neighborhood before, but thanks to her tips, we still managed to discover new and special things. Even without the yoga studio, this place is already amazing, but if, like us, you love yoga and meditation, this is absolutely the place you’ll want to be. The only downside we could find was that, after more than a week, we unfortunately had to leave. If it’s ever available again when we’re in the area, we’ll definitely be back!

We had 13 wonderful days. Our expectations were far exceeded. We had everything we needed. The amenities were fantastic. There’s always sunshine—in the morning on the cozy balcony, at noon on the terrace at the large table, and in the afternoon and evening in the comfortable lounge chairs out back. Our dog was absolutely thrilled, too. Just a quick trip through the garden gate for a potty break and short or long walks right from the house... straight to the beach in 12 minutes, through the little woods, to pick up bread rolls, to the lock to have a coffee or a (dog) ice cream... The SUB and canoe are also great for paddling around the canal. The selection of board games is excellent. We also really liked the decor and were inspired to recreate the seashell necklaces from the bathroom, for example. We collected the seashells on the beach. Anja was great! Always helpful and ready to assist. This definitely won’t be our last visit here, and we can definitely recommend it!!

Great house—you feel right at home and it has everything you need. It’s wonderful that it’s just a short walk to the ocean, and there are lots of great things to do in the area. It’s also a top destination for families with kids. The cottage has its own spa facilities, including a hot tub and a small sauna. Really lovely!
