Beautiful cabin with a lot of care in updates and decorative details. It is remote up a windy road from town but it made the cabin surroundings very peaceful and quiet. There is an extra barrier/gate to go through before you get to the house: you have to get out of your car and use a code to unlock the latch and lift the barrier, then drive through, get out and lower and lock it again. The house was fully stocked and there is an outside and inside fire place which we took advantage of. The 2 double beds were a little short for our tall guys but the big double (with no trundle) was a better fit. Overall had a great stay at this beautiful house!

We really liked the vacation home. In particular, the quiet and secluded location in the midst of the beautiful Norwegian countryside was exactly what we had hoped for on our vacation. Even the somewhat adventurous drive there along the winding roads made us feel like we were truly far away from everyday life. The surroundings are gorgeous. We spent a lot of time exploring the area right around the vacation home—we strolled to the lakes, hiked up the mountain, and also explored some of the recommended hiking trails. The location is an excellent starting point for discovering the area, but at the same time, you can simply enjoy the peace and nature right at the vacation home. The house itself was cozy and had everything we needed for our stay. We even tried out the sauna, especially because our son was dying to know what it was like. 😅 Overall, we felt very comfortable there and actually fell a little bit in love with the area. For us, it was just the right mix of peace and quiet, nature, and the chance to discover something new every day.

Located on the outskirts of Ilsenburg on one side and the Harz Mountains on the other, the Baum-Lofts are both beautifully situated and convenient. We felt very comfortable in the tastefully designed and furnished lofts—a lovely, peaceful place.
