The vacation home was in a completely peaceful and idyllic setting. We didn’t notice a thing from the neighbors within sight :) The house had everything we needed and was very well equipped. The electricity and water supply worked great—after two days, we’d gotten the hang of using the pump and fetching water, and we didn’t miss a thing :) The toilet takes a little getting used to ;) But then again, you do choose this type of vacation rental on purpose :) The walk to the parking lot for loading and unloading the car also takes a bit of stamina ;) The location is truly beautiful! Since we were lucky with the weather, we were often able to enjoy the terrace and the view. What you need to know—to reach the house, you have to pay a toll (70 NOK) each time you pass through, but you can easily pay it online.

A really lovely house—with a view of the mountains and the sunset. There were six of us adults, and there was plenty of room for all of us. We enjoyed both the house and the surroundings!

Cozy cottage, nicely decorated with a well-equipped kitchen. Stunning view of the fjord with several beautiful hikes nearby. The “Fastdalhytta” hike starts at a parking lot a few kilometers from the house and winds through a marshy area to a cabin. The “Rottenvikvatnet” hike features a steep climb and ends at a mountain lake with a view of the glaciers. We also visited the Brifost whiskey distillery.
