We spent nine wonderful days at Kari-Anne’s house and were 100% satisfied. Check-in was easy and flexible, and Kari-Anne was very helpful at all times. The property, with its boathouses, is located in a unique island setting with direct access to the water and its own dock. The historic building has been restored with great care and taste. The attention to detail and historical references create an incomparable atmosphere in which we felt right at home. The modern, high-quality renovated bathroom blends beautifully with the historic ambience. Shopping is about a ten-minute drive away. There is no bathtub or dishwasher—but we didn’t miss either of them at any point. The authentic historic kitchen with its old appliances was actually the highlight for us. A very special place to escape everyday life in a unique setting. We would come back anytime!

The house is beautifully decorated and fully equipped. What wasn’t clear is that it’s a first-floor apartment. It also wasn’t clear that the garden had to be shared with other residents of the building. That meant we had less privacy than we’d hoped. We didn’t hear from the host at all during our stay. That comes across as a bit unwelcoming.
