Wheelchair-friendly Holiday Homes in Italy

We stayed at the villa La Stalla Il Sole Verde, which is located closest to the pool. An authentic Italian villa with a nice kitchen and two lovely bedrooms. It’s a bit close to the road, but we quickly got used to it. The location itself, between Bucine and Mercatale Valdano, is really nice. It’s convenient both for grocery shopping and for day trips to Arezzo, Siena, Florence, etc. The house itself shows its age, but everything worked. With a few upgrades here and there, the place would be even more perfect. The front terrace was nice for relaxing and dining, with a view of the vineyard. The pool is a bit dated, but it was great for lounging in. And it’s perfect for families with young children, since it’s 90–100 cm deep at the shallow end and 145–150 cm deep at the deep end. Our kids loved it.

We had a wonderful stay. Our host was perfect; she gave us plenty of great recommendations for sightseeing. We enjoyed the barbecue and the pool at sunset—it was magical. We highly recommend this place because the setting is exceptional, just like the host.

We loved this place! It was so well taken care of, and the hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful. We took full advantage of the beautiful pool, but also loved exploring the property and saying hello to the more outgoing cats. We would definitely stay here again, if they will have us!

​We had an absolutely wonderful stay and can highly recommend this place to everyone! ​From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and they really went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. The entire place was sparkling clean and fresh. The surroundings are absolutely magical—beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for truly unwinding. The fantastic pool area quickly became our favorite place to spend the days, and in the evenings, we really appreciated having several great grills to cook delicious meals on. As a wonderful bonus, there were also some super-cute cats on the property that brought extra joy! ​Thank you for a fantastic experience—we’d love to come back

We had a wonderful time with our family (two sons, ages 11 and 15) at Serena’s place with her family! The pool on the property is lovely, and it’s great that each family has its own spot, so there’s no hassle with umbrellas and chairs. The water was also nice and clean. The accommodations are just as described, and we had a bathroom for each bedroom. Serena went above and beyond to help us plan our day trips, such as to Florence or San Simignano—that really saved us a lot of hassle and research. Montaione (with its restaurants and supermarket) is about a 10-minute drive away, so it’s very convenient. All in all, we had a wonderful week and would love to come back again!

The apartment is in a beautiful and secluded location, yet only around 10 minutes drive from a local town and under 5 mins from a couple of excellent restaurants. The swimming pool is a bonus - clean and a good size. Communication with Serena was excellent and she was really helpful in booking a restaurant for us too. Our daughter enjoyed feeding the cats around the property too!
