The Eiderstedt peninsula is the jewel of North Frisia: surrounded by water on three sides, the landscape radiates an incomparable idyll. The beautiful detached house is divided into two halves. For a family vacation or a larger group you can simply rent both halves of the house together. Under the charming thatched roof, the larger half of the house offers space for up to 8 people (140m²), while the smaller apartment (70m²) sleeps 4 people. Spread over a total of 210m² on two levels, there are plenty of places to retreat. Separate entrances and private terraces ensure plenty of privacy. At the same time you have enough space to spend time together, for example in the sauna for up to 6 people.
Thanks to the panoramic windows and the location in the garden, you can enjoy an unobstructed view of the beautiful surroundings.
The entire house impresses with the use of natural materials, sustainable construction and a unique atmosphere. During the reconstruction, the original character was preserved and complemented with carefully selected furnishings. Concrete floors and underfloor heating meet lovingly selected vintage treasures and retro details.
The spacious 1,000 m² natural garden is a true feel-good paradise: Here, children have plenty of space to play and adults can take a deep breath in close proximity to nature. In the evenings you can spend cozy hours together at the fireplace and enjoy delicious stick bread.
Please note: We love thatched cottages - when dealing with fire and electricity we ask our guests to take care that the thatched roof is not exposed to any fire risk. You will receive more detailed instructions from your host.

My name is Martje and together with my husband Olaf I live in Nordfriesland. When an old workers' cottage in our neighborhood came up for sale 10 years ago, we decided to renovate it. The most important thing for us was sustainability and the use of high-quality materials with the aim of bringing out the original character of the two halves of the house. Over the years we collected furnishings with character and renovated the house with much love and heart and soul. Today our reed house with its two halves has become a very special gem for large and small travel groups. What we love about the area is its spaciousness and tranquility. We try to spend as much time as possible in the magical landscape - in balmy summer nights with the chance of sea lights.
