Family farmhouse on the hills of San Gimignano

This farmhouse in the Tuscan hills between Chianti and Val d’Elsa has been in the same family for over 400 years. You step into a living history: the photos hanging on the walls tell the story of generations of harvests, Chianina cows, lavishly set tables, and wedding celebrations. Every corner bears the mark of those who've cultivated olive oil, wine, and wheat.

The house is spacious and functional, designed to welcome guests with simplicity. The interiors preserve the atmosphere of the original farmhouse, with details that evoke the rural life of days gone by. You can move comfortably from room to room, recognising in the photos on the walls the faces and moments that have shaped this place.

The terrace overlooks the Romanesque church of Monte Oliveto across the valley, where the sunset paints the landscape purple. You'll spend the quietest evenings beneath the enormous, centuries-old holm oak. Rows of grapevines and olive trees, tall cypresses and oaks surround the farmhouse on every side.

Behind the house runs the Via Vecchia, a path winding through oak groves and fields that leads toward San Gimignano, with its medieval towers serving as a constant landmark. Nearby, you’ll find Gelateria Dondoli in Piazza della Cisterna, Forno Boboli—serving Tuscan schiacciata since 1909—and restaurants like Cum Quibus and Bel Soggiorno for a special dinner.
