We are Gitte and Jesper and this is our beautiful vacation home and sanctuary by the North Sea. Here at Grønhøj Strand in North Jutland, we enjoy relaxing with family and friends. What we love most is the peace and quiet, the beautiful uninterrupted view of the protected nature area, the dunes, the beautiful sunsets and the proximity to the sea at 600 meters in a straight line from the house. We love being active with both morning runs by the beach and evening dips in the sea. The beach is beautiful and undisturbed and invites fun, play, games and activity. If you want more activity, there is mini golf, tennis courts and a golf club nearby.
In our holiday home, there are spaces both inside and out to spend time together, but also to find a quiet corner for contemplation. There are cozy terraces facing east, south and west - and space to be - and to move around with the sun or to find shade on the hottest sunny days or when enjoying the first rays of spring sunshine. Even when the wind is blowing, there is always a shelter. Inside and out, there's plenty of space to gather for food, games, fun and activities, and we love to light up the wood-burning stove on chilly days.
Løkken is a half-hour walk along the stand - or 10 minutes by car. We especially enjoy having brunch or dinner at HAVs or going for a walk and eating ice cream at Løkken Torv. At Løkken beach there are plenty of opportunities to be active with SUP and surfing for young and old. We enjoy relaxing over a cup of coffee in the sun and shelter of the small stand oasis, and the atmosphere from the harbor pier is very special when the fishing boats pull the day's catch from the sea.
In and around Løkken there is a wealth of opportunities for cultural experiences, art and culture. The atmospheric Børglum Monastery. Gallery Munken etc. Also close by is Rubjergkunde Lighthouse and cozy Lønstrup and Kornets Hus.
