Modern summerhouse home with sauna and sea view

This vacation home is clad in warm wood and features a living sedum roof that allows it to blend seamlessly with the fields and the coast. Built in 2025, the house has three bedrooms in the main house and an additional bedroom with a panoramic view in the annex.

The heart of the home is the large, open kitchen-dining area with a wooden ceiling that extends all the way to the rafters. A built-in wooden bench runs along the east-facing glass wall, which can be fully slid open so you can sit with your legs hanging over the house wall and the ocean right in front of you. Two bedrooms have their own access to the terrace; the third has a workspace. The kitchen features a granite countertop, an oven with an air fryer, and a freezer.

The large south-facing wooden terrace is where life happens: morning coffee, long lunches, and cozy evenings by the outdoor fireplace as night falls. The sauna barrel, with its panoramic window facing the sea, is also located here. On the north side, you’ll find a peaceful stone terrace with an outdoor shower and sun all day long.

The beach, with its clear water, pebbles, and sand, is within walking distance, and you’re welcome to use the vacation home’s two sea kayaks. The town of Ebeltoft offers cafes, shops, and art exhibitions, and the new area near the old malt factory features restaurants and guided tours. You can also visit the Ebeltoft Glass Museum and the frigate Jylland. The Mols Mountains and the lookouts overlooking the Kattegat are easy to reach on a day trip.
