You will live in one of six unique apartments in a historic brick building, each with its own character. The renovation combines old substance with contemporary precision: restored original windows, ecological building materials such as hemp lime and clay, exposed brick walls, and exposed vaulted ceilings.
Rough and smooth at the same time: historical elements meet new details. Clay plaster, lime screed, and reed ceilings create a breathable indoor climate. The apartments are spread over the garden level, mezzanine, and attic – all with a terrace or balcony, all with a view of the greenery.
Your apartment opens onto the courtyard or the countryside. The botanical balcony combines architecture and vegetation. All guests can use the sauna in the old vault – daily from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., other times by arrangement.
Behind the dike begins the UNESCO biosphere reserve: swim in the river, rent canoes, cycle along the Elbe Cycle Route. In the village itself: half-timbered houses, cobblestone streets, Romanesque church. Have breakfast at Café Lämpel, order vegetables from Grünland Salzwedel, watch storks circling overhead.
Tourism Fee not included
A Tourism Fee is a mandatory fee that you have to pay when visiting certain tourism areas in Germany. The fee is not included in the price because it depends on where you stay, how many nights you stay, how old you are and if you're bringing your dog. The fee usually varies between €0 and €4 per adult per night, but may be 5% in certain areas, such as Berlin. It should be settled with the host upon arrival.
