We are a family of 4: Maja, Simon and our two boys Karl and Bille. We live in Østerbro, but as much as we love the pulse of the city and the historic feel of Copenhagen, we need to be in nature just as much.
Our holiday home consists of two small Jeppesen houses put together. One house has been transported to the site on a crane. We renovated, changed the floor plan and removed some walls, so we now have a nice big kitchen, which is the heart of the house. Our holiday home is simply located in one of Denmark's most beautiful holiday home areas, with tall conifers, forest, beach and nature. Here we can hear the sea, woodpeckers, owls... and silence.
We always go to the beach when we're at the cottage. All year round. The kids love a huge ice cream at Burgerhjørnet. We drink good coffee at Lillero and throw stones in the water here. Our 'own' local beach (Hønsinge Lyng) is a sandy beach, so you can't throw stones there. We also cycle to Gudmindrup Strand, where the kids play in the big dunes and you get good burgers.
