You’ll find peace and quiet on this spacious, natural lot surrounded by tall spruce trees planted in the 1960s. This little black gem of a cottage sits quietly secluded, just a two-minute walk from Tisvilde Hegn. Here, you’ll be visited by the forest’s deer on a quiet day, while you enjoy the long summer days on the south-facing terrace or evening swims at the beach.
The house has been renovated several times over the years, but otherwise remains an authentic Tisvilde cottage with rustic retro details. The heart of the home is the large kitchen-dining area with high ceilings, where the whole family gathers. The morning terrace with its outdoor shower is perfect for coffee breaks before heading out for a walk in the woods. The annex in the garden serves as a secluded guest room for older children or guests.
The south-facing terrace serves as the house’s second living room during the summer months, where you can gather with family and friends. The garden is completely secluded and surrounded by nature. It is an open, natural garden without fencing, offering space for play and relaxation among the trees. Here you can listen to the sounds of the forest and enjoy the changing colors of the seasons.
Tisvilde Beach is a 15-minute walk through the forest, where you can rent SUPs, kayaks, or mountain bikes. Explore Asserbo Plantation with Asserbo Ruins and Troldeskoven, or bike to Solnedgangsbakken on summer evenings. In town, you’ll find cozy cafes, Iskiosken, and Tisvilde Kro. Rabarbergården and Helenekilde Badehotel are also worth a visit.

My mother and I are co-owners of this little black gem of a summer house in Tisvilde. The house is located on a quiet street, and the garden is surrounded by tall fir trees that my grandfather planted in the 1960s. The garden is thus secluded, and we are only visited by the forest’s deer every now and then. For four generations, we have enjoyed Tisvilde’s lovely forest and beach and the small, charming town with its cafés, ice cream stands, and grocery store. We love that the house is a bit set back from town, yet still close to Tisvilde Hegn and just a walk or bike ride from the beach. Here we enjoy the summer with guests on the terrace, the fall with lovely walks in the forest, and the spring with the first swims and wonderful moments in nature.
