As architects, we have approached the project with great respect for the location, where Kajsa's family has farmed the land for generations. We have created a home that exudes simplicity and honesty in its choice of materials, where nature plays the leading role. This is our refuge from our life in Stockholm, a place for rest and inspiration.

We've rented several houses and apartments, but so far this ranks on top of our list. A beautiful architectural gem, inside and out, the house is located in a large peaceful meadow, with cows grassing around the corner. So much space, sky and serenity. We felt very comfy and at home - the kids loved it too - and we were all sad we had to leave at the end of the week. Kajsa and Kristoffer are great hosts - super smooth communication. Torekov is a charming town, and has a lovely beach just 10-15 min walk from the house. Bjäre is generally a fun region to explore (new to us), with lots of interesting nature sites, and it's easy and pleasant to get around if you're driving. We hope to come back some day!
