Charming summer house with wilderness spa near Fur

Some places just invite you to slow down. That’s how we feel about our summer house by the Limfjord. Here, we’ve created a shared sanctuary where four generations come together to enjoy each other’s company, play, and spend time together.

As we drive through the area and the Limfjord comes into view in glimpses between the trees, our shoulders relax all on their own. Here, everyday life gives way to bare feet, fresh air, and plenty of time.

We love the simple life at the summer house. Mornings with coffee on the terrace, kids digging out their crab lines, and walks through the woods down to the beach, where the swimming pier and the calm water invite play and long breaks. Other days, we stay home in the vacation home with board games, good books, and long meals under the open sky.

As a sailing family, we enjoy having our little wooden boat moored at the dock in Eskov Strandpark. From here, we take short trips out into the area and listen to the quiet lapping of the fjord.

Eskov Strandpark is a small, quiet vacation home community surrounded by forest and the fjord. There’s a large playground overlooking the water, small trails through the forest, and high cliffs where you can sit and enjoy the view before continuing down to the beach. The ferry to Fur is just a few minutes away, and the area also offers day trips to Thise Dairy, Jesperhus, Mønsted Limestone Quarries, and Cold Hawaii.

The days we cherish most are the ones when we don’t have to do anything. When the day is allowed to unfold at its own pace—and little moments arise and become the finest vacation memories.
