On the island of Föhr, in the midst of the Frisian villages and the green marshland, stands the thatched house of Mirja and her family from 1807. It captivates with its authentic Frisian charm and houses a total of two vacation apartments, which can be used and booked independently of each other, but at the same time can also be wonderfully combined with each other.
The apartment on the upper floor, which was newly created after a fundamental renovation of the house, offers space for up to 4 people on a living area of about 80 m². Modern furnishings provide sufficient comfort, while the wooden mullioned windows and individual antique elements maintain the charm of a thatched house over 200 years old.
The large living area makes gathering with friends and family a special place. Spend evenings cooking together while reviewing an eventful day of vacation. If it should be uncomfortable outside, you can snuggle up on the sofa with a good book and a cup of tea or enjoy the view from the window to the dike at the large table. When the weather is nice, you will find plenty of places to relax in the garden thanks to various seating areas and beach chairs.
Long walks in the green marshland, beach days at secluded little sections of the island or bike tours to the nearest café for a piece of apple pie - your leisure options here are almost limitless.
Important note: We love thatched cottages - when dealing with fire and electricity we ask guests to take care not to expose the thatched roof to any fire risk. You will receive more detailed instructions from your host.

My name is Mirja and together with my family we are your hosts in the beautiful vacation house on the island of Föhr. For many years, this house is the favorite meeting place of my family. Here we all spend a lot of time and switch off together from the everyday hustle and bustle of the big city. Föhr is very special and worth every stay. Rest and relaxation are guaranteed here and at the same time the island has a lot to offer.
