Charming old cottage with sea view in Ballstad

This cabin dates from around the 1850s, and was moved to Ballstad around 1900. The cabin has been renovated several times and offers good comfort by today's standards, while retaining its historic charm and character - providing a unique and authentic experience.

The cabin contains two living rooms. In the middle one, you can fire up the stove on a cold winter's day and just sit and enjoy listening to music or reading a book. There's a TV in the inner living room and comfy recliners if you want to take a nap. All rooms have a view of the harbor. In addition, there is a fully equipped kitchen for cooking and a bathroom. The bedrooms in the loft are bright and cozy, and the innermost room, with four beds along the walls, is a hit with the kids. For added charm, the ceilings in the loft are low, so you'll have to bend down when you walk through the door frame.

The outdoor area has summer furniture at both the front and back of the house. At the back, you can sit completely sheltered from the traffic, while your morning coffee and breakfast can be enjoyed on the small terrace at the front.

Ballstad is an eldorado for trips large and small. Go hiking in Ballstadheia or Nonstinden, which are just up from the house, or take a trip to Hauklandsstranda, one of Norway's finest beaches. If you want to do some shopping, Leknes is just 10 minutes away. Ballstad is also in a great location for visiting beautiful places both further west or east in Lofoten.
