Welcome to this beautiful summer by the North Sea.

Inside, the 50 square meters have space for the small family or couple who want to go on a getaway in Hvorup Klit just south of Løkken. Here you can lounge in the alcove with your iPad on rainy days or gather your loved ones around the long communal table for board games and fun. As the day draws to a close, you can curl up in the built-in bed in the small bedroom or in the annex just outside the door.

On the east side of the cottage you can enjoy your morning coffee in the sun and you'll also find lounge furniture where you can serve pre-dinner drinks to guests while the kids play in the soft dunes. On the enclosed courtyard terrace, you can relax all day to the scent of rosehips and the sound of the sea. You may not be able to see the water, but it's only 150 meters away.

Our names are Charlotte and Nicholas, and we live with our young daughter and son. We bought our holiday home "Sort" in 2015, and we have since carefully renovated it with respect for the fact that the house was built in 1947. "Sort" is our little cottage by the North Sea, where we love to spend our summer vacation or just enjoy the sound of the waves over the weekend. For us, cottage life is all about being together, and we have designed the house accordingly. Without a TV and with a long communal table for guests, birthday celebrations and family time.

One of our favorite things is to sit on the long bench on the terrace, drink our morning coffee and greet the neighbors as they pass by. In Hvorup Klit, we greet each other.

We also love to go to Løkken to buy fish or go for a run down to the beautiful Kettrup Mountains. If we feel like a good lunch, we drive to Lønstrup and enjoy a bite to eat in the old cinema, which gets fresh fish from Lønstrup's small harbor. We can also break all the rules and grab an ice cream before lunch instead.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The vacation home was exactly as described and shown in the pictures—simple, but cozy and nicely furnished. We also really liked the location. Unfortunately, there was one minor issue regarding cleanliness when we arrived. However, the landlord responded in a very friendly, understanding, and straightforward manner and took care of it right away. Overall, we felt very comfortable and would definitely recommend the house!
